MUMA is the only restorative justice provider in South Auckland and services the  Manukau, Papakura and Pukekohe District Courts.

MUMA is one of the very few providers that conducts restorative justice conferences for domestic violence and sexual offending. The restorative justice theme encapsulates the MUMA's commitment to the community and its willingness to provide difficult and challenging services.

Our restorative justice manager Mike Hinton, is also the chairman of the national association Restorative Justice Aotearoa. Whaea June Jackson is actively involved with the supervision and mentoring of the conferences.

Conferences are designed to help with the process of healing for victims. The programme has facilitated hundreds of conferences over the years, impacting on a significant number of whanau.
